Instructions:
Answer each of the questions below honestly in order to self-asssess your research once you have completed it. SAM will guide you and give you an idea of how a marker may view your work and thereby give you further opportunities to improve. There are two parts to SAM. SAM-C is an assessment around your content. SAM-P is an assesment around your presentation. This is just a guide and a lot depends on the weighting your university puts on each of these aspects.

Are the majority of the references from peer-reviewed journals published
within the past 5 years?

Literature Critical Review - Have conflicting / opposing opinions been included?

Literature Critical Review - Are the points well made? Are they based
on the evidence presented?

Literature Critical Review - Is evidence used well to support the opinion being expressed?

Literature Critical Review - Have the arguments been clearly synthesised?

Is the review broad / extensive enough?

Is the theoretical/conceptual framework chosen/developed justified in the
context of the study and clearly explained?

Have appropriate methods been used to tackle the research question/problem?

Will I potentially have issues getting permission to access respondents/data?

Is there an adequate explanation of how the methods were used?

Is there an adequate explanation of the data collection process and choices made
(e.g. sampling, selection of data base, conceptual framework)?

Is the process, as described, appropriate (i.e. without serious flaws)?

Is there an explanation of any problems encountered and how these were overcome?

Have any limitations in the approach taken been identified and discussed?
